Unmonday 4.3L hexagon AirPlay speaker looks for Kickstarter funding
A new Kickstarter project aims to generate funds for its hexagon-shaped AirPlay speakers, which when paired together give the option of a mono, stereo or Dolby Surround Sound.
The bizarrely titled Unmonday 4.3L, can stream music from your iPhone, iPod or iPad, wirelessly via Apple’s AirPlay. Consisting of five individual speakers, they can be used separately for a mono sound, coupled for stereo or placed around one room for an encompassing Dolby Surround Sound experience.
Each speaker is transportable – it comes with a leather case - so for the large part you can place them in separate rooms to play your music out loud wherever you are in the home.
Fitted with an Alpair 10 driver, the speakers are assigned five Dolby Surround Channels. To change channels, users simply need to rotate the speaker, resting it on another one of its five sides.
Promising 10 hours of battery life, the Unmonday 4.3L also features a 3.5mm jack port that can be used to hook up non-Apple devices.
The team behind the Unmonday 4.3L AirPlay speaker hopes to generate $200,000 through Kickstarter with pre-orders being taken now for $499.
