WEBSITE OF THE DAY: Driving

This, apparently, is the one that the likes of Auto Trader and Exchange and Mart are supposed to be worried about.

At driving.co.uk we see the new site from the people behind The Sunday Times motoring section and it sets it stall firmly at the premium end of the used car market.

No noisy old bangers here (some might say apart from a certain Mr Clarkson, perhaps), just reliable used cars for the more discerning motorist.

There’s not really much to differentiate it from the other search sites available, apart from perhaps its slightly lofty ambitions when it comes to price ranges and available marques, but the features section is certainly where you start to see the pedigree of the print journalists begin to make an impression on this online outlet.

Will it be successful? Probably, up to a point, but we’re not seeing anything here that should really have the household names quaking in their boots just yet.

Useful if you’re looking for a new motor and you’ve got a bit of cash to spend though.
