Sony has added its PlayStation Mobile service to the PlayStation Store on PS Vita and smartphones and tablets that are PS Certified.
The new section of the store offers smaller applications and games that won't break the bank, providing much needed cheaper, more instant content for the PS Vita especially. There's a wide selection of games available from today, priced from as little as 40p.
Titles from both third-party developers and SCE Worldwide Studios are available, and the company hopes to add plenty of new games and other software as time goes on. They can all be played either by using the native controls on a PS Vita or Xperia Play, or via a virtual on-screen DualShock controller on a smartphone or tablet device.
Once a game has been paid for and downloaded, it can be played on up to three different devices.
The service is now available in Japan, the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia. Other regions will get PlayStation Mobile over the coming months.
To get PlayStation Mobile games on a Xperia Play, other smartphone or tablet, they are accessible through the PlayStation Mobile application on certified devices.
