ESPNcricinfo app coming to your iPad for Twenty20 time

ESPNcricinfo is coming to an iPad near you with the arrival of the international sports network’s first app for tablet.

The ESPNcricinfo iPad app will hit the iTunes App Store some time during the World Twenty20 tournament which begins on 18 September 2012 in Sri Lanka. The app will bring locally relevant content straight to your Apple tablet with push notifications of match updates and in-play alert. Naturally, there will also be full access to the news, stats and expert analysis information from the main ESPNcricinfo website.

This addition to the UK ESPN app catalogue also brings with it revamps for the Android and iPhone ESPNcricinfo apps in time for the tournament, which include a full-screen mode, new sections to explore and a user-interface designed around the teams that you support.

Along with that, the iPad app will, of course, have full social integration so that you can wind up your mates live in Facebook Chat as their team gets skittled.

You don’t like cricket. No. You love it.
