Google Glass hits the catwalk as models strut their high tech stuff

Google Glass, the software giant's glasses tech that captures point of view images and video, is finally getting into more hands-on with more heads than just Sergey Brinn's.

High-end fashion design house Diane von Fürstenberg (DVF) kitted out its models with Google Glass headsets when showcasing its new Spring 2013 collection during the New York Fashion Week. Each of the models paced down the catwalk, with the glasses recording what they saw and tweeting the results.

Google co-founder Brinn was there with his own pair of futuristic googles, as were male model Hanne Gaby Odiele and Diane von Fürstenberg herself. And there are plans to compile a video of the results to go live on the DVF YouTube channel on 13 September.

Until then, you can see some of the posts captured by the models using their headsets either by checking out the tweets accompanied by the #DVFthroughGlass hashtag, or head over to the fashion designer's own Google+ site, plus.google.com/+dvf.
