Lenovo prescribes a trio of tablets, including Ideatab S2110A, S2107A and S2109A
Lenovo has announced three new Android tablets at this year's IFA consumer electronics trade show in Berlin. Each comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich from the box, and in a variety of screen sizes.
First up is the Lenovo Ideatab S2110A, a "premium entertainment tablet" with a detachable keyboard dock. It's 8.69mm thick and weighs 580g. The screen is features a 10-inch IPS display, with 10-point multi-touch for two-player gaming, and the company claims it has a 178-degree viewing angle.
It can connect to a TV and stream 1080p video through a microHDMI port, and other sockets include an SD card reader and USB ports.
There's a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, 1.9-megapixel on the front, and it opts for Wi-Fi internet connectivity to keep the price down. When the keyboard is docked, Lenovo says the S2110A has up to 20 hours of battery life.
The Lenovo Ideatab S2107A is a 7-inch tablet very much designed to rival the Kindle Fire or Google Nexus. It comes with a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, built-in FM radio, and 3G network compatibility means it may turn up on a network provider's stock list.
Its touchscreen has a 720p HD resolution, and battery life is claimed to be up to 10 hours.
Finally, the 9-inch Lenovo Ideatab S2109A carries a Nvidia Tegra 3 chip in its bowels, and a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It weighs 570g and has a 3-megapixel camera on the rear, 1.9-megapixel on the front.
There are dual microphones on board, GPS, a micro USB port, and up to 16GB of storage with MicroSD card support up to 32GB.
Pricing and release dates for all of the new Lenovo tablet devices will be revealed later this year.
