As well as the P2542G gaming laptop, Gigabyte also showed off its latest Ultrabook, the U2442.

This 14-inch laptop offers third-generation Intel Core i5/i7 Quad Core processors (model dependent), and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M graphics card with 2GB of dedicated RAM.

The Ultrabook comes equipped with a 1600 x 900 resolution LED back-lit display, and also includes a light sensor to fire up the back-lit keyboard automatically when conditions dim.

Like its gaming laptop cousin, the U2442 also comes with dual, sports-car-like vents to keep the CPU and GPU cool.

At between 18.5 and 21mm thick, and weighing in at 1.59kgs, this slender laptop has plenty on offer. Available from 10 September, expect the U2442 to be priced around the £1000 mark.
