iPhone 5 assembled: Leaked parts fit leaked shell
An Apple repair site claims to have a number of parts of the iPhone 5 that have been leaked independently and has gone about piecing them altogether. What’s more, they all fit.
The teams at iResQ say the headphone jack cable and dock connector all aligned perfectly, giving what is allegedly the shell of the soon-to-be-unveiled new iPhone 5.
"One of our technicians was even able to screw the assembly into the pre-aligned screw holes inside of the frame,” said an iResQ spokesman.
“All of the threading and screw holes lined up perfectly with the screw holes in the docking port/headphone jack assembly."
Of course the parts in question could very well be from a prototype or even from the same “fake” model that some individual with too much time on their hands has engineered.
However, if it proves to be the real deal, here lies the complete shell - albeit without key components such as a speaker – of the new iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5 is heavily tipped to be revealed on 12 September, before shipping begins on 21 September.
