Sky makes 3D channel free to HD subscribers for another week
Sky HD subscribers can have access to the Sky 3D channel for a further week with no additional subscription charge.
The broadcasting giant had already opened up its 3D channel during the London 2012 Olympics, but the additional week will see highlights from the Games originally broadcast on Eurosport beamed on the channel. These will include the opening ceremony, Jessica Ennis’s heptathlon success and Mo Farah running for gold.
Other programmes to be shown on Sky 3D for the next week include David Attenborough’s Kingdom of Plants, a documentary series Pocket-lint had the privilege of speaking about with the great man himself.
Attenborough’s The Bachelor King and Flying Monsters will also be televised, while music fans will be able to watch both Kylie and Steps do their pop routines in 3D.
Sky HD subscribers can access Sky 3D immediately through their Sky+HD box - assuming, of course, they already have a 3D enabled TV.
