Gamerbase has opened its doors for the first time with the announcement of a partnership with Dell and Intel.

This state-of-the-art centre and technology partnership is "set to re-define the multiplayer gaming culture within a retail environment" and takes up a whopping 2300 sq.ft of trading space in HMV’s flagship Trocadero store.

Andrew Lazenby, Dell’s UK consumer brand director, explains:

"We are delighted to partner with Gamerbase on this state-of-the-art gaming facility. Dell is passionate about providing gaming enthusiasts with the ability to enjoy a premier gaming experience on Dell’s top of the range XPS gaming products while also offering customers the facility to purchase Dell’s award winning systems directly from the Gamerbase centre."

"We believe this collaboration is also a way for Dell to connect with customers Dell may not have reached in the past."

Intel's involvement comes in with the inclusion of the latest Intel Core 2 Quad technology to ensure that the gaming experience is sure to exceed the ever-demanding needs of today’s gamers.

Dominic Mulroy, Gamerbase Managing Director commented:

"We wanted to provide consumers the ability to try before they buy in all aspects of gaming. The typical model of a gaming cyber centre has now been extended to include games purchases direct from HMV and now they can buy the whole range of Dell systems from our store at a great discount."

"Our staff have all been trained by Dell to ensure that customers receive the best advice and support on their PC purchase."
