Denon has unveiled two docking speakers that can stream your music no matter whether you’re an iPhone, Android or Windows user.
Though both the Denon Cocoon Home and Cocoon Portable speaker docks are optimised for iOS devices – the dock is only compatible with iPhones, iPads and iPods – by downloading Denon’s advanced app for free, along with AirPlay for iTunes, Android and Windows Phone users will also be able to stream their music wirelessly.
Both the Denon Cocoon Home and Denon Cocoon Portable docking speakers are available for the same price of £499, despite the Portable being smaller.
However, what it lacks in stature the Portable makes up for in brawn, with Denon ensuring it is both water and dust resistant and has a music playback time of five hours. Useful for trips to the beach.
Both devices house a two-way speaker system, large acoustic chamber and four 25W Class D amps as well as Denon’s advanced DSP technology. Internet radio is also built in and when an iOS device is docked its screen can be used to control what station you tune into.
The Denon Cocoon Home and Denon Cocoon Portable docking speakers are both available from August for £499.
