Yep, Real Racing 3 really is for iPad, iPhone and Android (video)

A short while ago, EA Mobile announced that it was combining two of its Australian mobile games development studios into one, hence IronMonkey and Firemint became Firemonkeys (not Ironmint). Now that new super studio has teased its latest iOS and Android game Real Racing 3 - and to say it caught Pocket-lint's attention is an understatement.

Although there are few details on the new mobile racing game, other than the teaser trailer, EA has revealed that, as with its predecessor Real Racing 2, you will be able to race licensed cars across a wide variety of tracks. These will include vehicles from Porsche, Audi, Dodge and several other brands.

And we'd expect a similar or even better career mode to be in place. Plus, RR2 allows 16 cars to start on the grid, a massive development for mobile gaming, so expect fireworks in that area too.

But what's really impressed us from the trailer so far are the amazing graphics. While this footage is taken from an Alpha build, they are still incredible - especially when you consider that this will be a game for iPad, iPhone and Android devices. Staggering.

Real Racing 3 is scheduled for release in q4 2012 so should hit respective app stores before Christmas. You can find out more, and sign up to view an exclusive additional trailer on the dedicated Real Racing Facebook page.
