For all it has to offer, London can be a daunting place, particularly when you don’t know your way around. With thousands of tourists descending on the capital for the London 2012 Games, LoYakk is providing a personal Olympic concierge service to help visitors.
Embedded within the existing LoYakk app, the Olympic Concierge Service will provide 24/7 assistance throughout the Games. If you want to find the quickest route to the Aquatic Centre, for example, simply text the concierge and voila, you’ll be messaged right back with the best route.
It’s not just directions that you’ll be helped with either. With up-to-the-minute assistance, LoYakk users can ask what’s happening in and around London, where they should go - basically, anything they need information on. Think of it as your own PA in your pocket.
LoYakk is a social location-based app that enables users to spark up conversations with other users based on the area, location or event they are attending. While it’s still in its infancy, LoYakk’s Olympic Concierge service should bring the app to people’s attention.
LoYakk can be downloaded free for the iPhone and Android and BlackBerry smartphones.
