The Samsung Galaxy Beam is now officially available in the UK, allowing those who want to buy the new phone - first shown in Europe at Mobile World Congress in February - the chance to beam their content on to a surface near them at any time.
For those not aware of the Android phone, the Galaxy Beam is a projector smartphone that can instantly create a 50-inch wide screen, as long as you've got a space to project on to and a room dark enough to see it.
Measuring 12.5mm thick the phone, rather disappointingly for some, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but is powered by a 1.0GHz dual-core processor and comes with 8GB internal memory. There is microSD card support as well, and a 5 megapixel camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam can handle all of your MPEG4, H.264, WMV, Xvid and DivX file types and even supports HSPA+ connectivity - rather handy for YouTube.
