Android 4.1 Jelly Bean coming to both the Samsung Galaxy S III and the S II
While an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S III appeared something of a shoo-in, it seems the manufacturer is also showing some love for its predecessor.
According to the blog SamMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S II will also be receiving the update. Tests are said to still be taking place on both devices, but should they prove successful, both the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Samsung Galaxy S II could be upgraded around August or September.
Yet while the Samsung Galaxy S III remains one of the most popular phones on the market it would be great to see the manufacturer rewarding customers who purchased its predecessor, a device that was a contributing factor in helping Samsung establish itself as the world’s biggest selling mobile phone manufacturer.
