Talk of delays to the Google Nexus 7 appear wide of the mark after Pocket-lint spoke to Google, which said it remained on target for a mid-July release.
A document entitled “Google Nexus 7 Tablet Launch Update” leaked on the internet instructed stores that the device had been delayed until further notice.
However, after speaking directly to Google, Pocket-lint can confirm that the only reason some stores may have been told this is to ensure the Nexus 7 is released on the same day across all stores.
Though the internet giant was unable to confirm whether the document was genuine, we were told that any holding of stock was “purely to make sure everyone launches on time, but we're [Google] still on target to release, as planned and announced at I/O in mid-July.”
Pocket-lint has already had an extensive play with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet. You can read our full review by clicking here.
