Angry Birds Trilogy sees our feathered friends swoop on to Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo 3DS

Rovio has announced that three Angry Birds classics will be available to play on Kinect for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 with Move capability and on the Nintendo 3DS before the end of the year.

The Angry Birds Trilogy consists of the original Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio. It’s the first time the gaming blockbuster will be available on a platform outside that of a mobile, tablet or internet experience.

With an Angry Birds theme park already opened, a TV show in the pipeline and enough pulling power that saw 10 million downloads of Angry Birds Space in just three days, we’re surprised it’s taken Rovio this long to reach out to the console platforms.

For the two people unfamiliar with what Angry Birds is, the game involves firing a variety of birds (each with their own skill sets) at various constructions as you aim to squash pigs and monkeys as well as trying to free other birds. Why? Because it’s fun that’s why.
