One of the new Light Suits from Osram and Bogner

5 December 2007 18:27 GMT / By Katie Scott

If you want to amaze in Meribel or wow in Whistler, check out the Solar Light Suit.

This futuristic ski ensemble is a collaboration between sports fashion house Bogner and Osram - one of the largest lighting manufacturers in the world.

Two suits were unveiled in a bid to give winter sports fanatics a glimpse of the fashions of the future.

The "Solar Light Suit" is fitted with twelve brightly illuminated, solar-powered Osram Golden Dragon LEDs on both the front and the rear as well as on the sleeves.

The second suit is the "Private Space Suit", which uses the strips of Linearlight Flex LEDs in red and white.

But skiers will have to wait possibly several decades for their chance to shine, as the suits are not expected to hit stores until 2036.
