As fundraising efforts go, anything that lasts a year has got to be worth noting and has combined two of our favourite things to raise cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Using Twitter, 365 writers are creating a graphic novel, with other Twitter users able to steer the story through their ideas and comments.

The writers - some of them among the biggest names in social media - take the unravelling tale in all kinds of directions and looking back over the past six months' work, it’s astonishing to see how it’s moved on from day to day.

Each story-telling tweet is accompanied by an illustration by David Kirkwood, one of the foremost illustrators of his generation.

We love this idea, and we hope it raises its target and more to help kids fighting cancer.

The merchandise that is on offer from time to time is sure to be very collectible in future too.
