Microsoft signs Xbox 360 first DLC exclusives for Tomb Raider, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Resident Evil 6
The Xbox 360 versions of Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be the first to get DLC after they are released later this year or early next. Microsoft has signed exclusivity window deals with Square Enix, Capcom and Activision respectively.
Microsoft invited each company to demo its wares to the media at E3 today and general opinion was very positive. While CoD: Black Ops 2 is very much what we've grown to expect and love about a game from that particular franchise, perhaps the most "oohs" and "aahs" came for Tomb Raider, which is looking very nice indeed.
It's certainly more brutal and violent than the previous outings for Lara Croft with developer Crystal Dynamics' prequel/reboot taking on a more realistic tone. It also seems to have dispensed with Keeley Hawes as Croft's voice actress, opting for someone younger.
Resident Evil 6 is undoubtedly a Resident Evil game, with zombies aplenty even in the short preview Pocket-lint saw at the press event. Black Ops 2 was undoubtedly the loudest game shown, with the entire Galen Center in LA trembling with the bass overload.
