Navigation expert Mio has launched two new Mio Cyclo devices, aiming to keep riders informed both of their performance and their whereabouts.
The Mio Cyclo 300 and Mio Cyclo 305 HC will help cyclists find their way from A to B with the most direct route, thanks to Open Street Map and TeleAtlas coming preinstalled on the device.
However, choose the “Surprise Me” mode and both the Mio Cyclo 300 and Mio Cyclo 305 HC will suggest three different routes based on how long and how far you wish to cycle. It should make for a more varied biking experience and would be a great way to explore a new area.
Both devices feature a 3-inch anti-glare touchscreen and come encased in a waterproof protective case. Each version promises up to 12 hours battery life, while the more advanced 305 HC has an ANT+ sensor that enables you to connect the in-boxed heart rate monitor and cadence and wheel sensor.
Once you’ve finished your bike ride, you’ll be able to check your speed, distance covered, how long it took and how many calories you’ve burnt, all through the Mio Share desktop application. You can also share bike routes with other Mio users.
The Mio Cyclo 300 with regional maps will be available for £259.99 while the Mio Cyclo 305 HC will cost £309.99 for the regional version and £349.99 for the Western-Europe Maps variant.
All three devices will be available from selected retailers from 6 June.
