Asus Eee 8GB pricing announced

$500 for double the flash storage

4 December 2007 10:03 GMT / By Katie Scott

After only being available for a matter of weeks, the already eager-awaited 8GB upgraded Asus Eee PC will hit the shelves across the US for a shade under 500 clams.

The classy and compact UMPC will be available on the States side of the Atlantic later this month - just in time for Saint Nick to stuff one in your seasonal stocking.

However, rumours abound that it will not be featuring a larger screen than the earlier incarnations.

In addition, if the buzz is to be believed, adding even extra RAM - to the existing 1GB - will actually void your warranty.
