What do you get the man in your life this Christmas? Here are five suggestions ranging from a beard trimmer to the state of the art Plasma TV from Pocket-lint to get him excited on the 25th December.

Every day until Christmas Pocket-lint will be offering you gift suggestions for all the people in your life, whether they are just gadget mad or a business traveller.

Think of it as our little Advent Calendar to you.

For Him:

BaByliss I-trim stubble trimmer, £40
Whether you are looking for the Justin "Just got out of bed look" Timberlake (.5mm), the José "designer stubble" Mourinho (2.5mm) or the Josh "Sunday Style" Holloway from Lost look (3.5mm) then this is the gadget to help get your man to achieve that look.

Alternatively you can use it just to keep your beard from getting too explorer-like. Either way the I-trim achieves what it sets out to do - make any man that uses it look rugged.

Toshiba HD-E1 HD DVD player, £229
If you want high-def on a budget then the Toshiba can offer it to you.

The Blu-ray vs. HD DVD battle may still be raging, however the Toshiba HD-E1 is a very formidable player that offers plenty to the home cinema enthusiast looking for the HD experience on the cheap.

Better still the current offering of five free HD DVDs means you'll have plenty to watch on Christmas day.

Xbox 360 Elite, £299
If the man in your life is a "gamers" gamer, then he'll want an Xbox 360 Elite.

Big, now a manly black and more powerful the console has HD support via a new HDMI cable and a bigger 120GB hard drive.

Why the Xbox 360 over the other consoles? Well the choice of games is awesome at the moment with classics like Gears of War, sitting alongside racing titles like Forza 2 and Project Gotham Racing 4.

Yes the Wii is a fantastic console, but when it comes to driving fast or letting off steam with a couple of kills you'll what the 360.

Sennheiser PXC 450 noise cancelling headphones, £300
Another winner of the Pocket-lint Gadget Awards 2007, this time best headphones, the PXC 450s will cancel out any noise with ease whether it's on a plane or a screaming baby at home.

Powered by a single AAA battery means you are unlikely run out of juice even if you are away from a power socket and better still they are great for listening to music too.

Pioneer Kuro Television, £2499
If being the winner of the Pocket-lint Gadget Awards Best TV wasn't enough the Kuro offers 1080p picture resolution rather than just 720p as on previous models from Pioneer as well as support the much talked about (well within the industry) 24p picture frame rate mode.

For those not in the know, 24p means that the 24 frames per second as the film was shot, stored, mastered and screened at the cinema rather than 26 frames which is normally the case.

The Full-HD TVs, part of Pioneer’s Kuro line-up, will include two 60-inch models and two 50-inch models. Why Kuro? The name means black in Japanese and it's so called because its one of the key features of the range.
