The Nu Dolphin is an MP3 player tailored specifically to swimmers, surfers and other water babies.
It is ultra lightweight at just 25g and only 60 x 20 x 20mm and is ergonomically designed to cause as little water resistance as possible with all of the control buttons located on one side of the player while the headphone jack, which is, of course, waterproof, on the other side.
Earpieces are kept in place using earplugs, which the manufacturer says will keep water out of the ears and stop the earpieces moving during "vigorous activities" down to one metre.
The first Dolphin will be designed to fit on swimmers’ goggles but an armband version is to follow.
The Nu Dolphin will deliver 8 hours of music then take about an hour and a half to charge up via USB.
128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1GB and 2GB versions are available with prices roughly around the £70 mark for the 1GB version.
