The HTC One X and One S are not the only pair debuting today, as the 3G + Wi-Fi versions of the Motorola XOOM 2 and Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition go on sale.
Available from Carphone Warehouse, the main difference between the two models is the size of the screen with the XOOM 2 sporting a 10.1-inch HD widescreen display and the Media Edition a smaller 8.2-inch.
Both tablets are considerably lighter than the original Motorola XOOM and run on Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
Camera-wise and we’re looking at a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and a five-megapixel snapper complete with digital zoom, auto focus and LED on the back of the device.
With its extra bulk it’s perhaps to be expected that the Motorola XOOM 2 promises 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi before the battery goes dead, compared to the Media Edition’s six hours.
Yet other than that it’s ultimately down to how big a tablet you want. Well, that and how much you’re prepared to pay.
The Motorola XOOM 2 Wi-Fi only version is available from Carphone Warehouse for £349.99; while the new 3G + Wi-Fi version will set you back £449.99.
Opt for the smaller Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition and the Wi-Fi variant costs £299.99 and the new 3G + Wi-Fi version £399.99.
Pocket-lint has got its hands on both of these tablets already. You can read the full review of the Wi-Fi-only Motorola XOOM 2 here and the Wi-Fi version of the Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition by clicking here.
