Fully working Tron light cycle goes up for auction
US fundraising website Charitybuzz.com is currently auctioning a full-size replica Tron light cycle, and the best news is that it works.
The Xenon Light Motor Bike is a fully customised vehicle that can reach speeds of up to 50MPH, is 100 per cent electric and can travel approximately 100 miles before needing a recharge. It lights up, has 32-inch hub-less wheels, and the shell is made from LED light tape and a hand-crafted Fibreglass frame.
Currently, the bidding on the site stands at $23,000 (£14,451.31) but the reserve price has not yet been met as the usual price for such a bike is $55,000. And the auction closes in just less that two weeks, on 14 March - so if you want to get yourself a genuine slice of extreme coolness, you need to get a wriggle on.
The winner can also customise the bike to their own specifications, with Evolve Motorcycles offering to change the light tape color, internal specifications around the battery and motor type.
Entourage star Adrian Grenier got his taste of the Xenon Light Motor Bike at the pre-Oscars party at the Avalon nightclub in Los Angeles. Have you got the cash to do the same?
