Panasonic Eluga Power: Its second Android smartphone
Panasonic has announced a second, more premium, smartphone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Monday.
The Panasonic Eluga Power will feature a 5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720, a dual-core Qualcomm S4 1.5GHz processor and run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The new model will measure 136 x 70 x 9.6mm, weigh just 133g and, therefore, be 9.6mm thick even though it comes with an 1800mHa battery.
That battery, incidentally, will be able to reach 50 per cent charge in just 30 minutes, Panasonic says.
Like the Eluga announced earlier in the month, the new phone will be water and dustproof.
Other features include NFC connectivity and an 8-megapixel autofocus and 1080p Full HD video recording camera. It will have auto scene recognition and 8x digital zoom. Unlike the Eluga, there will be a front-facing camera for video calls.
Completing the package is 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD Card Slot supporting a further 32GB.
The new phone follows the announcement of the Panasonic Eluga - a smaller and lighter handset with a 4.3-inch and 1GHz OMAP 4 processor.
