Ridiculously priced DVD player

Call us old fashioned, but when we first starting writing about DVD players they cost around the £600. Seven years later and Amazon.co.uk has different ideas.

The online retailer is currently selling a multi-region DVD player for under £20 (click here) new or you can even get it from them second hand for £9.99. That's cheaper than a DVD itself.

Made by a Starlogic - yes we've never heard of them either - the machine measures a very slim 360 x 50 x 250 mm (W/H/D) offers JPEG and MP3 picture and music CD/DVD support as well as being compatible with the following CD media: DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD Audio, CD-G, HD-CD, MP3 and JPEG images stored on CD-R/CD+R media.

According to Amazon the player will also playback DVD+R/+RW and DVD-R/-RW dics.

Better still they will even throw in a remote control.
