Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 update released, fixes bugs, adds RAW support for new cameras

Apple has released a new update, 10.7.3, to its Mac OS X Lion operating system on Wednesday.

The new 10.7.3 update is recommended for all OS X Lion users and includes general operating system fixes that improve the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac says Apple.

According to Cupertino, fixes include addressing issues when using smart cards to log into OS X, resolving issues authenticating with directory services, and addressing compatibility issues with Windows file sharing.

The update also adds Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian language support.

The update also resolves a Wi-Fi connection issue when waking from sleep (something one of Pocket-lint's Mac was having problems with), and other too boring to mention bugs and issues.

The update also adds RAW support for a range of new cameras recently released including the new Compact System Camera offerings from Nikon.

The new cameras are the Canon PowerShot S100, the Nikon 1 J1, the Nikon 1 V1, Nikon COOLPIX P7100, Olympus PEN E-PL1s, Olympus PEN E-PL3, Olympus PEN E-PM1, Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ150, Sony Alpha NEX-5N, Sony Alpha SLT-A65, and Sony Alpha SLT-A77.

The new update weighing in at a rather hefty 730.6MB is available via the software update option on your Mac.
