Amazon's new e-Book reader, the Kindle, has sold out already.

The new gadget only went on sale via the online store on Monday, but all stock has now gone.

The Kindle, costing $399, can store thousands of e-Books, and connect to the internet via an EV-DO connection, dubbed Amazon "WhisperNet".

There is new stock due in in time for Christmas.
