Parrot gets involved with internet dating meet and greets

Digi photo frames to display single's pics

21 November 2007 9:33 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

Parrot has found an interesting use for its digital photo frame range, the company has announced a partnership with Meetic, apparently the European leader in online dating services.

The technology is being used to provide singles with an "original, surprising and futuristic concept": a wall featuring 16 Parrot wireless digital photo frames will be set up by meeticLive hostesses during special evenings organised by Meetic in France, Spain and England.

Thanks to the walls of Bluetooth digital photo frames, singles taking part in meeticLive evenings will have their photo taken along with their name using Bluetooth digital cameras or camera phones. Photos are sent instantly via Bluetooth to the "dating wall".

It's described as a "fun and original way of discovering the singles present and tracking them down".
