Samsung has unveiled a trio of new compact cameras at CES 2012 in Las Vegas all boasting 16.1-megapixel sensors and a brushed metal form factor. The cameras will launch in black, white and plum and all feature F2.5 25mm wide-angle lenses.
Each snapper is due to arrive with a 5x optical zoom and the ST77 and ST88 can shoot 720p video at 30fps. The ST88 also gets the jump on its younger brothers with a 3-inch hVGA LCD screen. Adding to the compact functionality is things like live panorama and smart auto 2.0, which will work out what sort of snap you are trying to take before you tap the shutter button.
In-camera post processing can also be done with picture-in-picture tech that allows you to stick a shot within another, as well as things like Magic Frame that allows for Hipstamatic-style editing.
The only real defining details we can spot between the cameras is the size of each screen. The ST88 manages a 3-inch while the 77 and 66 are both 2.7-inch.
No pricing or availability yet we're afraid but expect more details as soon as we have them. In the meantime enjoy Samsung's rather swish pics.
