Ion Pics2Go scans photos and slides straight to iPhone
Pics2Go, a forthcoming device from the maker of the iCade iPad arcade cabinet, Ion Audio, allows users to scan photos directly to their iPhone 4 or 4S handsets. Better still, for those who have slide transparencies or negative strips lying around can also use the machine to convert them to digital pictures.
Coming with a free application, the Pics2Go machine will take photographs up to 4 x 6 inches, housed slides or negatives and as soon as the picture is slid into the device it appears on the screen of the docked phone. And, in the case of the negs, the app will convert them into correct colour positive images.
Of course, it is possible to take snaps of your photos using the iPhone's own camera, but the colours won't necessarily be correct and the Pics2Go has a backlight to brighten the slides and negatives where needed.
Priced at $59.99 it'll be available around spring time in the US initially, arriving in the UK shortly after.
