Shopping trolleys go digital

High tech trolleys show text messages

We've had Trim Trolleys that are designed to give you a work-out as you toil round the supermarket, and now there's digital shopping trolleys.

The new products from Modstream offer a small digital text display on the trolley's handlebar, designed for advertising messages.

Delivered while the customer is making buying decisions, the company claim success with featured products' sales up as much as 35%.

The messages are delivered wirelessly, and in real time, so will be update-able on a very frequent basis. "Bargains in aisle two shoppers!"...
