Pure is planning free downloads for those who register interest in its new cloud-based on demand music service.

A total of 10,000 free tracks are up for grabs, one each to those who register. Those with Pure Lounge accounts need to sign up online and will be kept posted on Pure Music developments. The service comes as part of Pure's attempt to further its musical efforts beyond radio.

Well known for its high quality DAB offerings and multi-functional iPod docks, Pure Music is more like Spotify and designed to allow on demand tracks straight through your radio. The real trick with Pure Music is that it is priced in at £4.99 rather than the £10 needed for Spotify each month, it also has plenty of the same tracks.
