HTC confirms two Android handsets coming in 2008

Maybe even three...

12 November 2007 16:31 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

DigiTimes reports that HTC has confirmed that they plan to ship two or three "Android" handsets next year.

Android is Google's new open mobile phone operating system being brought to market by members of the Open Handset Alliance.

HTC CEO Peter Chou made the comments last week at a meeting with analysts from foreign investment firms in Taiwan.

The phone company boss also said he expects revenues to grow more than 20% on year in 2008.

Other revelations for 2008 were the launch of a non-Qualcomm 3G solution and a new user interface - said to be better than the current TouchFLO technology.
