Microsoft's Xbox 360 has outsold Sony's PlayStation 3 in a rare moment of success in the Japanese market, according to data from Media Centre.In the week ending November 4th, Xbox 360 consoles saw a 475% week over week increase, and beat Sony's PS3 sales - by a narrow margin.
Sony's hardware sales figures came in at 17,434 units while the Xbox 360 just edged it with 17,637 units sold.
The reason for the jump in sales is thought to the the release of Namco Bandai's exclsuive Xbox 360 game "Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation".
Nintendo's Wii still easily beat both competitors though - with sales of 37,617, nearly 20,000 over the Xbox's successful figures.
