The Samsung Nexus Prime has gone and got itself a juicy little specs leak and guess what ... it looks like it is going to be a beast.

BGR is reporting the handset will make an appearance next Tuesday at Samsung's Mobile Unpacked showcase alongside Ice Cream Sandwich. So what are the specs then? Well first up is a 1.2GHz dual-core A9 processor to enjoy, alongside a massive 1GB of RAM.

Then you have 32GB of internal storage and a 5-megapixel 1080p capable camera on the back with a 1.3 snapper on the front. The real juicy spec is the screen, which is 4.56-inch AMOLED HD with no less than a 1280 x 720 resolution. There is also proper LTE or HSPA support dependant on the carrier and built in NFC. Powering the whole specs package is a 1750mAh battery. Samsung has also kept up its super thin approach to smartphones, with the Nexus Prime being no less than 9mm thin.

Being a Nexus device, it means it is a pure Android experience without any manufacturer skinning. That means no TouchWiz for Samsung fans.

The Galaxy Nexus (the handset was codenamed Nexus Prime) is rumoured to be a Verizon exclusive out in the US. No news as of yet for UK carriers.

The Galaxy Nexus was pictured in a Samsung teaser video released earlier this week. Only a side profile of the phone was shown. There has however been a reported Ice Cream Sandwich leak video, which shows Google's new operating system in action

It looks like the newly released iPhone 4S, which is the highest specification device in Apple's range, has just been seriously outdone.

Expect more on the Galaxy Nexus when we get our hands on one.
