LG Electronics has announced the launch of its 5000:1 Digital Fine Contrast ratio for computer monitors, to the UK.

The company says this ground-breaking screen technology will enable users to view the clearest and sharpest images available on an LCD screen today.

At 5000:1, LG says moving images are crisper and brighter, darker images are more distinguishable and distortion is minimal.

Dennis Yeo, group product manager, LG Electronics says, "LG is committed to researching and developing innovative technologies that continually look to stretch the barriers of current capabilities".

"Our record-breaking contrast ratio will offer consumer and business users alike, an unparalleled viewing experience with the very latest in screen technology."

LG will launch its 5000:1 range of monitors in November and December of this year, more product details to follow nearer the time.
