MSI goes power mad with its new G series gaming laptops

We can't think of many laptops that even come close to this pair of gaming beasts just announced by MSI.

With no less than 12GB of RAM inside, an i7 processor and a Nvidia GTX570M, the GT683DXR and GT780DXR should be able to run just anything at a fair old clip.

On top of the ultra powerful internals, the GT780DXR features a Full HD non reflective 17.3-inch display and a programmable backlit keyboard. The laptop itself is made out of brushed aluminium. The GT780DXR sports a 15.6-inch Full HD glossy display.

Both are available in souped-up 16GB of RAM, Blu-ray burner, 1.5TB hard drive versions. We imagine these top specced MSI lappys are about as powerful as you can possibly get inside a portable.

Also stuck inside is MSIs Turbo Drive Engine technology which grants a 3.5 per cent graphics processing boost. There is THX Surround Sound speakers to keep things blasting on the audio front. No use having all that graphical power if things don't sound exciting.

Any purchases made of the MSI beasts made through Newegg.com over September will also ship with a Steel Series Kinzu mouse.

No UK pricing just yet, but the MSI is starting at $1699 out in the US. The absolute top whack GT780 is $2000, but for that you do get a 1.5TB hard drive and 16GB of RAM, which is loads... trust us.

Like the sound of the MSIs?
