Epson used IFA to introduce the MG-850HD; the first HD-Ready 3LCD home cinema projector featuring an iPod docking station.
With vast amounts of personal media being stored on fanboy's iDevices, Epson will be hoping to tempt the Apple masses into going down the living room projector path, with a device that offers direct playback from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
It beams 720p videos and has a 3,000:1 contrast ratio for deeper blacks. You can even watch projections during the day thanks to the white and colour light output of 2,800 lumens.
There are plenty of input options for other devices, like your games consoles or Blu-ray players - so it's not all about your iThings - and there's a couple of 10W speakers built in too.
"The MG-850HD is a perfect example of Epson’s dedication when it comes to pushing the boundaries of innovative thinking with home entertainment," said Epson's Graeme Davidson
"The user-friendly menu, for example, has been designed to help viewers navigate with ease, while a unique remote control design features a stylish button layout and backlight for ease of use while watching content in the dark."
The Epson MG-850HD will be available from November 2011, and will cost £649.
