Prince threatens fansites over images

"Not an attack on fans"

Prince, who recently hit headlines with threats to sue YouTube, has threatened similar legal action against fansites for use of photographs of him.

Prince Fans United says the music star is "stifl(ing) all critical commentary" and is in "violation of the freedom of speech".

The pictures that the purple one has issues with are album covers, images of him in concert - and song lyrics have enraged him too.

A spokesperson for Prince Fans United said: "the websites are run by fans, therefore it is an attack on fans", a claim the Prince camp denied.
