LG LW980T Cinema 3D TV comes with Nano Full LED tech and super-thin body

LG has used IFA, the consumer electronics trade show in Berlin, to launch its latest 3D television range: the LG LW980T series.

The new telly, which will come in 47- or 55-inch screen sizes, offers the company’s passive 3D tech - Cinema 3D - as well as its SmartTV that includes the BBC iPlayer, Facebook and Twitter.

Working to improve the screen technology even more over its previous 2010 flagship, the LX990, LG has also used Nano Full LED technology that creates brighter, clearer and smoother pictures; and allows the TV design to be slimmer (27.5mm) than ever before.

LG says all those elements makes it "the ultimate TV and entertainment hub for the entire family."

The new flagship TV will come with seven pairs of 3D glasses, built-in Wi-Fi and the company’s Magic remote control.

Other specs to spout to your mates include 2D to 3D Conversion, TruMotion 400Hz / MCI 1000,  2 x USB with DivX Plus / HD playback, 4 x HDMI and Smart Energy Saving Plus.

LG also launches the HX906TX 3D 9.1 speaker system to compliment the new TV.
