ViewSonic has sent round details of what it will be showing off in Berlin at IFA 2011 and, hidden amongst a number of devices we'd heard of already, was the ViewSonic ViewPad 7e.
The 7e is described as "amazing value". That's right - it's a budget tab. But we have confirmed with our ViewSonic contact that it will be running Gingerbread.
It packs a 4:3 aspect ratio, has multitouch support and comes all ready for some ebook reading action with a pre-installed Amazon Kindle app. It will also pack Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI connectivity.
Out in time for Christmas, the price given at the moment is in euros - 169 of them, in fact - so expect a £150 price-tag in the UK.
The memo also gives us a bit more detail on the ViewPad 10Pro, that was announced back in May. It's a dual-booting Windows 7 and Gingerbread device that will be available on 5 September. Again, it's eurozone pricing at 499 euros, so expect a price tag between £425 and £450 here in Britain.
Whilst you wait for IFA, why not check out our ViewSonic ViewPad 7x review, another tablet the company will be showing off at the expo.
