Many Pocket-lint readers have no doubt got some sort of PC-based home cinema setup going on in their living rooms. And whilst it's nice to have all your VoD needs under hand, it can be a pain to control your setup - with PC media remote controls often not able to provide the full functionality you need.
So there's no real escape from the traditional keyboard and mouse setup. But peripheral makers are aware of this problem - leading to media based setups like the newly announced Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400.
The K400 has a 10m range, so there's no need to get your behind up off the sofa; comes with a built-in touchpad, so there's no need for a mouse, and is plug and play with a simple USB receiver. The only wire you're gonna need is the USB cable to charge it every now and again.
“With our new Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400, people can connect their laptops to the TV, turn up the volume of a YouTube video, pause their vacation slideshows or tweet about the movie they just downloaded, all from one sleek controller,” said Thibauld Nolf, EPM keyboards and combos at Logitech.
“Whether you’re surfing the Web or emailing a friend, navigating and typing is just plain easy with the whisper-quiet, low-profile keys.”
The Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 should hit the shops before August closes for business, priced at £34.99.
