The first handset to be armed with the new WP7 7.5 (Mango) operating system has been released in Japan.
The handset, which has been launched to retail by Fujitsu and KDDI au, goes by the catchy name of the Fujitsu IS12T and details we've gleaned from Fujitsu's website includes a 13.2-megapixel camera that can capture high-definition still images using the Milbeaut Mobile image-processing engine and 32GB of in-built memory.
Along with this there's a 3.7-inch (480 x 800 pixels) screen, an FM radio and a host of rugged features which will prove helpful in resisting both water (IPX5/8) and dust (IP5X) - the whole thing measuring 118 x 59 x 10.6 mm. The handsets will be available in tasteful citrus, magenta and black
Whether this particular mobile will reach our shores anytime soon is doubtful, and seeing as the Mango Marketplace has only recently opened up to third-party devs, 7.5 apps certainly won't be bountiful just at the moment - even if you do manage to get you hands on one.
All the same, it does set the scene for further launches so hopefully we won't have long to wait.
