Phone pimpery house Amosu Couture has gone and added an extra level of shine to the already sleek still to be released BlackBerry Bold 9900.

The special version of the handset features a 24 carat gold bezel where the Bold's original metal wraparound had been. There is also the option to go for white or yellow gold as well as platinum or even Swarovski or diamond offerings.

Keeping in line with the highly sophisticated and not at all showy approach of a gold encrusted smartphone, you can also ask for a python, leather or crocodile case to go with the handset.

The Bold 9900 itself is yet to be released but check out our first look review to get an idea of what we think of the new RIM flagship.

Those keen to pick up the Gold offering will expect to pay £999 when things get launched, otherwise you can opt for the conventional Bold which is currently up for £99 on £36 per month plan from Vodafone.
