Borderlands, the ultra addictive shooter/rpg, is making a comeback in the form of, well...Borderlands 2.

Head over to and you will find a choice between both the first and the second game.

There isn't much content to go on at the moment, other than a promise of plenty more to look at this years PAX and Gamescom conventions. The current issue of Game Informer Magazine also has more information on the title.

The new game will be appearing on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It is pegged for a release any day following 1 April 2012.

The original Borderlands was an inventive take on the conventional first person shooter, featuring four player co-op, different art direction and graphical style as well as a weapon generation system that meant you had literally thousands of guns to play with in the game.

Borderlands 2 can be preordered from the official website.
