Anyone looking to spend even more on a Panasonic LX5 might just have had their day made by Leica who has announced two cases made by Paul Smith to go with the compact re-badge that is the Leica D-Lux 5.

From somewhere between the English fashion designer and the German camera company's good names, and the fact that there are only going to be a limited number of these things made, pops the price tag of £200 a go.

The two designs are essentially one for each sex with 150 in smooth chocolate brown leather (men's) and 150 in light grey mock-croc (women's). Typically, when Pocket-lint popped over to the Leica Store in Mayfair to take a closer look, it seemed that both sexes alike preferred the chocolate brown.

Both cases are finished with a plush purple crushed velvet on the inside and a nice little signature on the back to remind you and any interested party just which brands you can afford to be shopping for. For our pick, like the crowds, it'd have to be the brown one with the typically Paul Smith striping down the side. To be straight though, neither of them look as nice as the classic tan leather case which you can pick up for £92.

Still, all are available for perusal down at the Leica Store in swanky London's most swanky bits. Do go and take a look at them along with the rest of the camera porn on display.
