AT and T intros roaming data plans for iPhone users

Flat-rate 20MB and 50MB options

3 November 2007 13:47 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott

In response to unhappy customers getting huge roaming bills for data usage on their iPhones while abroad, AT&T has announced two new flat-rate international data plans.

The $60 Data Global Plan will give iPhone owners 50MB of data per month to browse the web, check email and access other information in more than 29 countries.

The second plan is a 20MB Data Global Plan for $25 a month, for lighter users for the same 29 destinations with extra data charged at $0.005/KB.

The plans have to be purchased as add-ons to the existing rates that AT&T offers, but can be purchased, and dropped, as required.
